New creative appointment for UK's top fashion hosiery brand

Nylon Hosiery Limited, the UK's largest printed fashion hosiery supplier, has appointed a new creative development specialist to drive the growth of its Pamela Mann fashion legwear brand. Garry Chambers, who takes up the newly created post with immediate effect, will be responsible for re-launching the Pamela Mann brand with a revamped logo, press campaign, celebrity campaign, on-line image library, web site and exhibition programme. He will also influence design development for future Pamela Mann ranges. It is the first time the company has dedicated a creative resource to the Pamela Mann brand and follows the company's change of ownership less than a year ago.

Prior to joining the Pamela Mann brand team, Garry Chambers was a freelance graphic designer specialising in web-design, poster campaigns and photography. Prior to his graphic design business he was at De Montfort University in Leicester where he gained a BA honours degree in multi-media design.

Commenting on his appointment Garry Chambers said: "Pamela Mann is a superb fashion brand that immediately says something about the people who wear it. It's about difference, independence and style." He added: "This is a great opportunity to get hold of a great product and elevate it to the peak of cool dressing. I have big plans for the brand and am looking forward to working with the team to give Pamela Mann that 'must have' fashion factor."

Garry Chambers is single and lives in Hinckley, Leicester. He was a former county football player and a student with the Leicester City Football Club academy and Birmingham City Football Club academy. In his spare time he enjoys photography and plays in a progressive rock band.

Pamela Mann is Nylon Hosiery Limited's fashion designer legwear brand. Established in 1956, Nylon Hosiery was acquired by Rob Morris less than ten months ago from the founding Curry family. Nylon Hosiery is currently the UK's largest supplier of high fashion printed legwear, employing over 30 people at its Midlands-based head office, printing, sales and distribution centre and producing some 1000 product lines including over 400 fashion prints. It manufactures all of its knitted legwear products in Italy and prints its unique high fashion designs at its plant in Leicester. The company annually sells over two million tights, hold-ups, leggings and footless tights to contract and brand customers throughout Europe including the UK, France, Germany, Holland, Sweden, Spain and Greece.
